Banjo 1" Poly Pipe Elbow 90 Degree
This Banjo EL100-90 90° elbow is a schedule 80 polypropylene pipe fitting with 3/8" female NPT threads. The 90° elbow fitting, or "ell," connects two pipes at a 90° angle to change the direction of flow between pipes.
This Banjo 90° elbow is a schedule 80 polypropylene pipe fitting with 1/2" female NPT threads. The 90° elbow fitting, or "elle" connects two pipes at a 90° angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. It has female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting to male NPT threaded pipes, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is precision molded in polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has excellent dimensional stability, and is sterilizable. In addition, it is reinforced with fiberglass for added durability, strength, and chemical resistance. The fitting is suitable for handling pressures up to 150 pounds per square inch (psi) at 70° F. This schedule 80 (thick wall) fitting is suitable for higher pressure than a schedule 40 fitting. This fitting is suitable for use in a wide variety of liquid handling applications including, but not limited to, fertilizers, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and water treatment.
Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Banjo's pipe fitting design has proven to be well-rounded and durable. It has been manufactured with a polypropylene frame that increases chemical resistance, strength, and pressure resistance, which makes it the ideal choice to handle a versatile array of chemicals. These would include applications for handling salt water, waste, and cooling water for industrial applications, as well as herbicide, insecticide, and fertilizer applications.
