Management of Soybean Cyst Nematode
Soybean cyst nematode (SCN) is the most serious soybean disease problem in North Carolina. Since its discovery in North Carolina (and the United States) in 1954, it has spread to all counties in the Coastal Plain, Tidewater, and some Piedmont counties with large soybean acreages. Severe yield loss caused by this pest is especially common in sandy coastal plain soils.
